The P.E. Volleyball Scene

From the corner of the gym, you might recognize the PE Volleyball scene filmed from this side. The nets were set up down the centre of the court, east/west. Bella was playing Volleyball and hit Mike in the head with a ball. They had a conversation here, and the scene background images of the bleachers were replaced after the movie filming. Forks High School records and spirit posters were displayed on the walls. The doors were painted blue, and the court was covered with Forks logos that resembled “Fat Head” stickers. One day it was orange and black, and the next day it was blue and gold, Forks High School. This was very strange for most Kalama athletes because, at that time, Forks and Kalama were in the same district for athletics. Several Kalama students were used as extras in this scene, and the PE teacher was a Kalama coach.
