Trashcan Mural Project: Shane King & Kalama VFW

Artist Profile:

The Veterans of Foreign Wars stands for something powerful: veterans supporting veterans, serving our communities, and making sure the sacrifices of those who served are never forgotten. The VFW’s mission is built on camaraderie, service, and advocacy—bringing together veterans of overseas conflicts, supporting our military and local communities, and standing strong as a voice for veterans across our nation. Their vision is equally important: that every veteran is respected for their service, receives the benefits they have earned, and that the sacrifices made by our veterans and their families are always recognized and remembered. This beautiful piece of art was created by Shane King as a tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for our country.  Thank you, Shane, for creating a piece that represents gratitude, patriotism, and the enduring spirit of our veterans. And most importantly—thank you to every veteran who has answered the call to serve.
