Trashcan Mural Project: Roselynn La Jeunesse

Artist Profile:

Hi there! My name is Roselynn La Jeunesse. By day, I work in Human Resources and teach support staff how to assist and advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities. Outside of work, I’m a self-taught artist. Although I have no formal training, I’m always looking for ways to grow my skills, whether that’s hosting art and craft nights at my home, creating commissioned paintings and tattoo designs, or participating in #inktober, the annual month-long drawing challenge. I’ve been fortunate to share my love of art throughout the Pacific Northwest. Some of my public projects include a painting featured in an outdoor gallery in Bremerton, a design for an electrical box art installation in Longview, and a mural for Astoria Brewing Company illustrating their brewing process. (Along with a few fun photo opportunities for fellow fans of The Goonies!) As someone who loves the Pacific Northwest and the incredible artistic culture that makes it so special, I’m honored to contribute to one of my favorite creative little towns: Kalama. It’s exciting to watch the community come alive with art on walls, benches, and even trash cans, and I’m grateful to be a small part of that transformation.
