Trashcan Mural Project: Jessica Crown

Artist Profile:

I’m a Pacific Northwest artist based in the Happy Valley, Oregon area. While I work full-time in property management, art has always been where I feel most at home. My work is inspired by the landscapes of Washington and Oregon, wildflowers, coastlines, and a sense of nostalgia. I love creating pieces that encourage people to slow down and find beauty in the everyday. I work across a variety of mediums, including watercolor, acrylic, resin, mixed media, and public art. I enjoy exploring new techniques and rarely limit myself to one style because curiosity is a huge part of my creative process. One of the highlights of my artistic journey was helping complete the Veterans Mural in downtown Kalama. Contributing to a project that celebrates our Veterans, community, and Kalama was an honor and is an experience I’ll never forget. When I’m not creating, you’ll usually find me spending time with my dog River, exploring the outdoors here in Kalama where my parents live, or searching for inspiration in nature. I hope that my work encourages others to embrace creativity, let go of perfectionism, and find beauty in the ordinary moments that make life meaningful.
