Meet the Artists

Join us for an informal gathering of the local artists displaying their works for sale in this uniquely themed show.

Gallery artist Marie Wise will do a watercolor painting* demonstration of a cat, with all proceeds (if painting is purchased that night) going to Nine Lives & More Rescue.

Chat with the show artists, enjoy some Willie Dicks food and drink, and enjoy an artful evening. All ages welcome!

ABOUT THE SHOW

Horses to Horsepower Etc. features a selection of local artists’ work that explores the journey and impact of moving from beasts of burden to the joy of celebrating these creatures, while looking at the changes brought by industrialization and automation.

Participating artists include: Jack Androvich (photography), Terryl M. Asla (mixed media), Rob Cameron (layered lasercraft), Merrilee Asla Lee (photography/mixed media), Joe Reece (photography), and Marie Wise (oil/acrylic).

The show is on display at the Asla Art Gallery inside Willie Dicks Taphouse in downtown Kalama, from January 15 to March 5.

Art may be purchased directly through Willie Dicks First St. Taphouse.

*Marie’s watercolor painting will feature a cat, with all proceeds (if the painting is purchased that evening) going to Nine Lives & More Rescue, which focuses on kitten and cat adoptions and transportation to spay and neuter appointments.
